Our program for February will feature one of our most interesting and popular speakers,
David Jones. His previous historical presentations have been on Charles Lindbergh, Statue of

Liberty, Lincoln Assassination, Mount Rushmore,

Prohibition etc.

Last July was the 50 th anniversary of the first man on the moon, so it is very fitting that his
presentation this month will be a non-technical look at mankind’s greatest technological
achievement titled ‘Apollo: Why We Went to the Moon’. David is a resident of Mpls, native of
St. Peter, MN and a graduate of Gustavus College. He is experienced, enlightening, and

engaging. You will certainly enjoy this speaker.
We will be serving doughnuts, coffee and lemonade at
1:00 pm, followed by the program at 1:30 pm.

Feb.14 – Happy Hour at Applebee’s in Southtown, Bloomington at 3:30 p.m. Note time. Meet on the 2 nd
Friday of the month. This is a good time to meet new acquaintances while enjoying a soda, cocktail and/or

Feb. 28 th - Happy Hour (Location not determined at this time) 3:30 pm (Call first) It is always on the 4 th Friday

FRED BABCOCK VFW, Richfield, MN –Music, dancing, and dining. The dance is usually every Saturday
night starting at 6:30. Sometimes it needs to be rescheduled to a Friday night if there is a special event

5555) to find out which band is playing. The club has just recently remodeled and has a new dance floor.
